Amy Ramsey

I am relatively new to the Outer Banks, having grown up in Southern California before moving to the Marlyand/DC area and then into North Carolina. I lived in Elizabeth City for a number of years, where I helped open and manage the local Dunkin’s for almost 5 years, before moving into Currituck County to be closer to the Outer Banks. Growing up in California, I greatly missed the beaches and palm trees so moving closer to the Outer Banks has given me a sense of nostalgia for my childhood. I have been married for over 17 years and have two teen aged sons, who are a constant source of pride and joy for me.

My professional background is varied between website design and customer service (in different fields including IT, Construction, and Food Service) and I hope to use my skills to serve Dr. Goldberg and all of his patients. I am an avid reader and had original aspirations of becoming a college English professor but I found that I loved delving into books more than teaching about them. I enjoy any type of career that allows me to directly interact with others and try to make their day just a little brighter.

I have been on the receiving end of chiropractic care and know how drastically it was able to improve my life after a car accident and herniated disc injury. It took many years of medical tests and procedures before I visited a Chiropractor to try and manage my daily pain. At one point, I was even considering disability with fears that I would never be able to function normally again. My husband took me to a chiropractor since we had tried all conventional medical care and prescriptions. I had multiple diagnosis’ and surgery recommendations. The process took about two months, as I received not only chiropractic adjustments but heat and stim therapy as well as acupuncture. I was able to quickly see an improvement in my pain levels, sensitivity, and flexibility. With my pain levels reduced and my flexibility restored, I was able to start exercising and stretching to start bringing my body back into a healthy routine. It has been an ongoing process but I have been able to resume all of my normal routines and really feel like a part of my family and general environment.

Since I have my own experiences with chiropractic care, I am very excited to be here to welcome each patient and be a personal testimonial to all of the wonders that Chiropractic care can do for you. I look forward to meeting everyone and playing a part in each patient’s healing process.
